Disappointed how Autumn photography season was cut short

I am seriously disappointed with how my Autumn photography plans have gone bust.

A recent cold snap and punishing snow storm, pretty much wiped out all hopes for some serious fall foliage photography that I had planned. I was hoping to spend a significant amount of time and effort shooting Autumn's colors better than I ever have, with a focus on stands of trees, etc. But the brutal cold and snow, dashed all promise for that. The frosty weather left all the leaves looking an ashen-green color, before being stripped off the trees by recent stout winds. Very few leaves ever managed to take on a golden or toasty brown color this year. It was a sad state of affairs for someone wanting to photograph the sights of Autumn.

I was able to shoot a few photographs that turned out fairly nice. I am hoping that when I look through all the photos I've shot over the past month, I'll find others that manage to convey some of the feelings and sights of how Autumn should look and feel. Up until I get a chance to search through my photos, here are some of the better autumn photographs I managed to shoot, in this all too short season.
